Principal Chemical Process Engineer

 

Organization: Engineering

Location: Houston, TX

Minimum Years of Experience:  15 years

Description

  • Very competitive compensation package for qualified candidates.
  • Designing, engineering, constructing, testing, & commercializing chemical process plants.
  • Performing engineering calculations and systems design.
  • Designing, executing, and analyzing required qualification testing.
  • Innovating and developing next-generation components and systems including product specifications and requirements.
  • Interacting with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, scientists, investors, and management.

Experience

  • Preferably 15-25 years experience with chemical plants, hydrogen processing, steam methane reforming, water gas shift reactors, or gas processing systems. 
  • Experience with high temperature, high pressure chemical gas processing systems. 
  • Expert in components and systems for chemical and gas processing systems, particularly related to Steam Methane Reforming and Hydrogen production.
  • Expert in manufacturing, procurement, & supply chain desired.
  • Experience with energy storage, batteries, electrochemistry, and fuel cells advantageous. 

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.S. in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • 15-25 years work experience in chemical plants or chemical processing desired.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to innovate, design, build, test, and mature technologies independently in a fast-paced organization.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including drawings, testing requirements, and assembly and manufacturing instructions.

Research Scientist

 

Organization: R&D

Location: Houston, TX

Minimum Requirement:  3.75 GPA

 

Description

  • Design and execute experiments in a lab setting.
  • Solve novel and challenging problems utilizing first principles.
  • Formulate, create, and optimize colloidally stable, printable inks for use in ink jet printers.
  • Research and optimize electromagnetic sintering process for fuel cell fabrication.
  • Collaborate with the world’s leading universities and companies to accelerate R&D.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

 

Experience

  • Entry-level position available.
  • 2-7 years of experience in research, technology development, lab,  or experimental environment preferred.
  • Experience in a startup or small company environment preferred.
  • Experience with wet labs, additive manufacturing, electrochemistry, EM technologies, or wafer / chip manufacturing a plus.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar discipline is highly desirable.
  • Prefer Ph.D. or M.Sc. from a Tier I university (e.g., MIT, Harvard, Princeton).
  • Ability to solve problems, follow procedures carefully, and work in collaborative environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and manage internal and external relationships, including with remote colleagues.
  • High level of integrity, diligence, and reliability.
